The Bavarians expand the distance on the table

Bayern Munich defeats Hertha Berlin and regains the six-point lead.

Bayern Munich’s

dominant 4-1 victory against

Hertha Berlin

gave them their six-point lead in the Bundesliga back after seeing their lead get halved with B

orussia Dortmund’s

victory against

Hoffenheim

on Saturday stood only three points behind them on the table.

The Bavarians opened the scoring in the 25th minute of the game when

Corentin Tolisso

found the net and gave his side the lead at Olympiastadion, but it wasn’t enough for

Julian Nagelsmann's

team as they doubled the lead before half-time with

Thomas Muller’s

goal in the 45th minute of the match which sent the visitors to the locker room with a two-goal lead.

The home side didn’t seem to be able to change the flow of the game in the second half as well as the first half, and Bayern Munich kept pushing them until the 75th minute when

Leroy Sane

scored the third goal for his side from an opportunity that was given to him by

Alexander Schwolow’s

mistake.

Serge Gnabry

picked a piece of the glory too; as he scored the fourth goal for the Bavarians in the 79th minute just before

Jurgen Ekkelenkamp’s

goal for the home side, which was only a consolation for the home side.
