Eriksen to terminate Inter deal in January 2022

As per reports in Italy, the Denmark international is going to end his contract with the Nerazzurri in the winter transfer window and will not be permitted to feature in Italy with an ICD implanted.

Based on reports from

Calciomercato.com

, doctors will examine

Christian Eriksen

’s availability to feature in Italy next week.

However, the outcome seems clear as the

Denmark

international has implanted a cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) device in June after the incident that saw him collapse on the pitch during the

Euro 2020

clash against Finland.

The

Inter

player has come back to training in Denmark with his ex-club Odense this week as he cannot train or feature in Italy having such a device implanted.

We are delighted that Christian Eriksen is keeping in shape right with us,”

the club’s sporting director

Michael Hemmingsen

told

Bt.dk

.

Reports claim that Inter plan to terminate his deal by mutual agreement when 2022 begins.

His deal was due to expire in 2024 and FIFA insurance has been covering his salary.
