Mortada denied the accusations made by former board members

The Zamalek president denied all the accusations against him and his board that were made by the former normalization committee.

Mortada Mansour

and his board were banned from their position for nearly a year and they have now returned at the helm of

Zamalek

.

Hany Zada, who was an ex-board member, appealed the suspension and there was a hearing on the matter in May agreed by May the Egyptian Administrative Court. It happened a month ago and the court agreed to the appeal.

Since Mortada’s board was removed, two normalization committees have reigned at the club, with the second one having been led by Hussein Labib, who left the club on Monday before Mortada arrived.

Their board was accused of financial misconduct, which resulted in heavy debts to many ex-players and other teams.

However, the 69-year-old denied the accusations, insisting that some former board members made up the allegations.

God doesn’t tolerate injustices. The truth and the great Zamalek fans, who had more influence than some club legends won,”

Mansour said on his

Youtube channel

.

“They removed us on November 2020, and we came back on November 2021. I hope what happened does not happen again, Zamalek is a big club.”

“We fought a strong legal battle and we will hold a press conference on Wednesday to explain what happened, but the important thing is the future, and we will take a number of decisions. We have a lot of work ahead of us on the social level as well as in the infrastructures, the football department, and the other sports.

“Everything that was said by some of the people from the previous committee is not true and the debts of the club never reached EGP1.2 billion. We won the Gross case, and we filed a complaint against Khaled Boutaib, not the other way around.

“If the board of directors had one violation, a case would have been made within 24 hours. We trust the Attorney General, and we submitted two bags of evidence proving the board’s innocence.

“Our confidence in the Egyptian state and the General Assembly is strong. In the press conference, tomorrow at 11 am, we will announce the decisions that were taken in the first board meeting today. We are concerned about the present and the future, and we will talk very briefly about the past,”

he concluded
