Ronaldo broke silence over Solskjaer dismissal

The Norwegian coach did not achieve the expected results during his time at Old Trafford.

praised Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and wished him success.

Solskjaer, who led Manchester United for three years, was sacked after a 4-1 defeat to

Watford

. The Red Devils are currently eighth in the table, 12 points behind leaders Chelsea. Ronaldo, once a Solskjaer teammate, praised the Norwegian coach and wished him success in the future.

He wrote on social medias: 

"He's been my striker when I first came to Old Trafford and he's been my coach since I came back to Man United," the Portuguese forward said. 

"But most of all, Ole is an outstanding human being. I wish him the best in whatever his life has reserved for him. Good luck, my friend! You deserve it!"

Ronaldo, who left United for Real Madrid twelve years ago, returned to Old Trafford at the beginning of the season. He has scored 9 goals in 13 games for his team.
