Southgate expected to sign a new two-year contract

Gareth Southgate is expected to extend his contract as England manager for another two years which will take him through to Euro 2024 in Germany. His current contract expires after the World Cup in Qatar in December next year.

Under Southgate, England performed brilliantly, reaching the semi-finals of the 2018 World Cup and then the Euro 2020 final, and it now looks like the English Football Association will reward him with a new contract.

Southgate signed a four-year contract when he was appointed in November 2016, and signed an improved four-year contract after the 2018 World Cup.
