Christensen is not sure about his future at Chelsea

Chelsea’s Andreas Christensen says that he doesn’t know about his future at the club.

Chelsea’s

Andreas Christensen

has talked about his situation at the club, insisting that although he hasn’t reached an agreement with the club, he is happy with the Blues and feels valued there.

The 25-year-old’s contract with the Blues expires in the summer, and he could leave the club as a free agent in January, but the Blues can’t deny his role in their recent success despite not having any ideas about the player’s future at the club.

"I feel valued, I'm happy," he said. When asked when there will be some clarity over his future, he added: "Hopefully soon."

When the reporters asked him about his club after Chelsea, he said that he doesn’t know where he will be playing next season.

"No. But I'm still happy and I enjoy football, so there is not so much,"

he responded

. "I'm happy. I do not feel that there is any pressure or anything. I just enjoy it.

“I do not know why everyone thinks it is a bad situation. I’m still happy and I enjoy playing football.

“Yes [Chelsea want to secure my future], but on the other hand, they also have a player who right now enjoys playing football and the coach shows him confidence. There is no bad relationship, there is nothing.”

Chelsea’s manager Tuchel has also talked about the Denmark international’s importance for the club, asking the board to try their best to keep the defender, but we have to wait and see if the Blues can convince him to stay or not.
