Zamalek fully trust the coaching staff - the club president
The head of the committee in charge of Zamalek affairs emphasized that the club totally trust the head coach notwithstanding their loss in the Cairo Derby.
Carteron and
Zamaleksuffered a horrible day as they were defeated 5-3 at the hands of
Al Ahlyon Friday.
25 games after their 2-1 loss to Al Ahly in April, Zamalek endured their first domestic defeat and their third with
Patrice Carteron
since he started his reign in March.
The Reds had a 5-1 lead until the 80th minute when Ahmed Sayed Zizo found the back of the net for his side to lessen the gap, before Bencharki reduced it to 5-3 in the final minutes of the game.
Their loss has put them fifth in the Egyptian Premier League table with six points from three matches, whereas Al Ahly lead the table with nine points.
Notwithstanding their disappointing defeat and poor performance,
Hussein Labib
insisted that Carteron and his coaching staff are trustworthy.
He also revealed that a complaint is going to be filed against the commentator [Medhat Shalaby], who seemed very bias towards Al Ahly.
“
We fully trust the coaching staff, support them, and know their ability and the players’ ability to return to victories, god willing, despite the loss in the derby,”
Labib told the club’s official website.
“
We decided to file an urgent complaint against the biased match commentator to the concerned authorities,”
he added.
“We invite the officials of Tazkarti [ticket providers for the Egyptian Premier League games] to discuss the chaotic organization of the match, which everyone saw.
“The committee will submit an urgent complaint regarding the abusive chants of Al Ahly fans during the match,”
he concluded.
