Barca have agreed a deal in principle with Fati’s agent
The Catalan side are on the verge of extending the teenage star’s contract.

Ansu Fati, is in contract negotiations with the club to extend his current deal. After returning from a lengthy knee injury, Fati is already showing signs of regaining his best form. Barcelona, who were concerned with Fati’s fitness to this point, are now trying to reach an agreement with the player and his agent Jorge Mendes over a contract extension.
Difficulties around the extension of Fati’s contract have generated several rumors around Mendes’ demands, but a new report provides hope for a quick agreement.
According to
Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona chief Mateu Alemany has already agreed to a deal in principle with Fati’s agent Jorge Mendes. Alemany has reportedly reached an agreement with the agent while he was in Portugal recently.
Fati scored the opener for Barcelona in their hard-fought win over Valencia on Sunday. The 18-year-old is expected to be included again in Barca’s lineup for their Champions League match against Dynamo Kyiv on Wednesday as he is trying to regain his best form ahead of the next week’s El Clasico.
