Roma close to renewing with Lorenzo Pellegrini

Roma are reportedly close to signing a new deal with captain Lorenzo Pellegrini after both parties reached an agreement over the extension in their latest meeting.

According to Sky Sports Italia,

Pellegrini

is expected to sign a new deal to extend his tenure with the Giallorossi.

Some issues, such as bonuses and image right, have yet to be determined, but the Italy international will sign the new contract, as coach

Jose Mourinho

revealed a few weeks ago.

Pellegrini returned to

Roma

from

Sassuolo

in 2017-18, and signed a five-year deal until June 2022, which the club is now on the verge of extending.

He will extend his current deal until the summer of 2026 and he will earn €4 million per season in the new deal.

The 25-year-old has impressed under Jose Mourinho this season, having played eight times in all competitions and contributing to just as many goals.
