Pape Matar Sarr joins Tottenham but plays for Metz this season
The highly-rated teenager has made a move to the Spurs from Metz.
Although
Pape Matar Sarr
penned a contract with
Tottenham, he is going to stay at
Metzfor the remainder of the season.
The 18-year-old played in 25 matches for the Ligue 1 side last season, meeting the target four times and he has featured in all their three games this season.
The defensive midfielder is Tottenham’s fourth signing this summer, with the other three being Bryan Gil, Cristian Romero and Pierluigi Gollini.
The Spurs also pronounced a departure on Friday, with
Moussa Sissoko
making a move to
Watfordafter his five-year spell at the north London club.
Among the other players who went out the exit door are Danny Rose, Erik Lamela and Toby Alderweireld.
Nuno Espirito Santo
announced that Tanguy Ndombele will feature against Watford, as he is linked with a move away.
The manager did not comment on whether they would add more players to the squad before the window closes.
He said:
"What we need and what we believe we'll keep is among ourselves.
"I'm so sorry to not answer that question but of course we speak, we see, we analyse and we have to decide and like I say it's not easy to find the right players because we have very good players.
"As long as it is open anything can happen. We have to be aware of the situations of all the team, the window is going to close on Tuesday, until then let's see."
