'Berardi will not leave' Sassuolo CEO confirmed
The former Juventus striker has attracted the attention of several Serie A clubs.
CEO Giovanni Carnevali has claimed that Domenico Berardi will not leave the club this summer.
Earlier, after long negotiations, Manuel Locatelli finally left for Juventus, but Sassuolo does not intend to allow the other Italian star to leave. Now the club's CEO has emphasized that Berardi will spend the next season at Sassuolo.
He told Corriere della Sera:
“No offer has formally arrived for him. We will not consider any negotiations in any case.
“There would not be enough time and the player has an economic value even higher than the one of Locatelli.”
Locatelli, who recently turned 27, left Sassuolo for 37.5 million euros and his contract will be until June 2024.
