Suarez will be on the bench in Atletico's first game in La Liga

Spanish sources claim that Luis Suarez will not be included in his team's starting squad in
Atletico Madrid's first match in La Liga.
The Uruguayan star had a stellar performance at Atletico Madrid last season, scoring 21 goals to help Diego Simeone's side win La Liga. However, Suarez, who played in the Copa America with Uruguay, was added to his team's pre-season tour later than the other players. He returned to training with the team on August 2 and trained with the team for two weeks.
However, Suarez, like Kieran Tripier and Renan Lodi, who played in Euro 2020, will probably not be in his squad for Sunday's game against Celta Vigo. Angel Correa is expected to replace him from the start. With his good performance in the pre-season, he has gained the trust of Diego Simeone.
Correa was used as a support striker last season, scoring 9 goals and 8 assists, and will now be in the starting line-up at the start of the new season.
