Spain beat Japan to advance through Olympic football final
Spain vanquished Japan 1-0 in the extra-time of the men's Olympic football semi-final.

Spainwon the quarter-final in normal time as Japan were taken to penalties in their battle against New Zealand after 120 minutes without any goals, before defeating them 4-2 in the shootout.
Spain, meanwhile, thrashed Ivory Coast 5-2 in the extra-time. In today’s battle, the Spain squad were littered with players of Euro 2020.
During the first half of the battle between Japan and Spain, La Roja had a few chances but they missed them. Spain dominated the possession and Japan were mainly posing a threat on the counter.
