Roma director met with Pellegrini's agent

The Italian star intends to continue playing football under Mourinho.

Agent of Lorenzo Pellegrini met with

Roma

manager Tiago Pinto today to extend the midfielder's contract.

Pellegrini's current contract expires in June 2022 and teams from Italy and England are looking to sign him. His most serious client is said to be Tottenham, whose terms have been sought in recent weeks.

There is a 30 million termination clause in the Italian midfielder's contract, which will expire in 9 days. Roma intends to prevent the termination of this clause and increase the salary of the Italian star while extending the contract. According to Sky Sports Italia, Giampiero Pocetta, Pellegrini's agent, had a meeting with the director of Roma, but there is still no news about the progress of the negotiations.

The former Sassuolo star was on the Italian national team squad for Euro 2020, but suffered an injury a few days before the competition and was replaced by Gaetano Castrovilli.
