Manchester United monitoring Saul's situation
The Spanish star is on the verge of leaving Atletico Madrid.
There are rumors that the Spanish star may be exchanged with Griezmann. The AS now claims that negotiations between Barcelona and Atletico have failed and that Saul is in the transfer market. Diego Simeone intends to sell the 26-year-old midfielder to receive a budget that he can use to attract other players.
Atletico won La Liga last season but still need to strengthen their squad for next season. Saul, who signed a nine-year contract with the club in 2017, has a contract with Atletico until 2026. However, he had a tumultuous season and does not seem to have a place in Simeone's squad. Atletico need to sell players to attract a new striker and secure his salary, and Saul is their main option.
Manchester United and Liverpool are among his possible destinations and it is said that Saul's agent is currently negotiating with English teams.
