Milan unlikely to sign permanent contract with Dalot
The Manchester United full-back spent the last season on loan at San Siro.
was mainly used as a backup for Theo Hernandez on the left-hand side of
AC Milan’s backline last season. The player displayed decent performances and he was linked with a permanent move to the Italian side. However, Dalot might have to return to Old-Trafford as the negotiations between Milan and Manchester United have reportedly reached a dead end.
According to
Corriere dello Sport, Manchester United prefer to sell Dalot for a fee of around £17m, which doesn’t seem to be a viable option for the Rossoneri. Italian right-back
Davide Calabriahas signed a new contract with Milan in recent days that might further push Dalot toward a Manchester United return. Milan are reportedly considering other backup options for the full-back position as they are set to part ways with Dalot after months of negotiations.
Dalot has been linked with a move to Real Madrid in recent days, with Carlo Ancelotti being a big fan of the player. On the other hand, Milan are keen to sign Tottenham’s
Serge Aurieron a loan deal ahead of the next season.
