Everton fans threaten Benitez: ‘We Know Where You Live. Don’t Sign’
The Toffees have been in search of a replacement for Carlo Ancelotti, who left the club for Real Madrid, since the start of June and they are reportedly on the verge of appointing former Liverpool manager, Rafael Benitez, as their new manager.

However, Everton fans have continued to voice their opposition to the imminent appointment of

and went a bit too far when a threatening banner was hung near to Benitez’s residence on the Wirral, stating: ‘We Know Where You Live. Don’t Sign’.

During his reign at Anfield, the 61-year-old manager clashed with the Goodison Park club between 2004 and 2010. His most infamous quotation came after a Merseyside derby in 2007 when he referred to the Toffees as “a small club”.
However, he tried to clarify that statement in 2011, he told an interview: "I didn't want to be disrespectful to the club.
“I was talking about the way they were playing, not the club.”
Despite all of these, it is expected that Benitez’s appointment will be confirmed this week after several rounds of positive discussions with the club’s board.
