Manchester City ready to make a move for Eintracht striker

The Citizens are looking for Sergio Agüero’s successor and it appears that they have set Eintracht’s André Silva as their top target.

According to

Bild

,

Manchester City

have shown interest in

Eintracht Frankfurt

striker

André Silva

and are considering the Portugal international as a replacement for

Sergio Agüero

who left City to join Barcelona. However, it appears that the Citizens are now in a race with their City rivals,

Manchester United

, who are also eyeing the 25-year-old as a possible replacement for

Edinson Cavani

.

Bild has also claimed that the Citizens have started negotiation talks with Silva‘s agent to lure the player in their own direction, with the Portuguese price having been set around €40 million.

Silva experienced an amazing run with Eintracht in 2020-21 season, scoring 28 goals in his 32 appearances for the German side, and standing second in the season’s top scorer list behind Bayern Munich ace Robert Lewandowski and ahead of Dortmund’s Erling Haaland.
