The nightmare returns; Carvajal injured again

Real Madrid right-back will no longer be able to accompany his team for the rest of the season due to injury.

According to reports,

Real Madrid

right-back

Dani Carvajal

has suffered a muscle injury again and is set to miss the rest of the season.

Carvajal, who played in the Champions League semi-final against

Chelsea

was injured during the match and was substituted off in the second half.

The Spaniard missed lots of games this season due to various muscular injuries and the new Medical tests shows that his injury had returned, which could mean an early conclusion to the season for the experienced defender.

A statement on the club’s

official website

reads:

"Following the tests carried out today on our player Dani Carvajal by the Real Madrid medical department, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the muscle. His recovery will be monitored."

Due to numerous injuries throughout the season, Carvajal has been able to make only 15 official appearances for Real. This is the 29-year-old’s fourth muscular injury this season.

Lucas Vazquez

used to fill Carvajal’s position in the right-back, however, he also was injured during the El Clásico and is also set to miss the remainder of the season due to his knee injury.

Real are set to face Chelsea on Wednesday in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final and we must wait and see how Zinedine Zidane’s will manage this difficult situation.
