Doctors and nurses under investigation for Maradona’s death
Diego Maradona’s death will be investigated to determine if there was negligence on the part of health care professionals.

Diego Armando Maradona
died from a heart attack on November 25, 2020 weeks after undergoing brain surgery to remove a blood clot.
A medical report underwent by a commission named by the Argentinean legal authorities highlights the death of the former Napoli striker could have been avoided, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Although the commission confirmed that Maradona died because of a pre-existing heart disease, it emphasized that his personal doctors and nurses did not give due attention to the athlete having suffered from cirrhosis and heart problems.
Maradona's neurosurgeon Leopoldo Luque, psychiatrist Agustina Cosachov and psychologist Carlos Díaz are under investigation as well as two nurses, a nursing coordinator, and a medical coordinator.
