Man Utd need to be better at home - Shaw

The Red Devils left-back revealed that his side should work on their home form for the remaining games of the season.

Luke Shaw

believes

Manchester United

must “collect better results” at home, with

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

’s side getting ready to come home for the Europa League semi-final’s first leg against

Roma

on Thursday.

The Red Devils have been running on a strong form on their travels this season, with an unbeaten run of 24 games after their clean sheet with Leeds.

Replicating the same efforts at Old Trafford is their challenge after they have endured four home losses in the top-flight, with Shaw expressing their need to make some improvements.

Shaw told

MUTV

:

"It’s a very good record, it’s one we don’t look too much into, that’s maybe been a positive our away record, but our home record hasn’t been good, we know we need to be better at home and get much better results.

"It’s a good record but it doesn’t count for anything with where we are in the league. We need to keep improving and we’ve got the Europa League, we need to win that and that should be our main focus now."

Courtesy of their talismanic away form, they have sealed themselves a top-four finish in the

Premier League

. Their defensive stability has helped them come closer to grabbing the title, with the England international proud of being a key role for his side.

The 25-year-old added:

"I don’t think they really had too many chances, we’re defending right, we’ve improved a lot since the start of the season, we were conceding way too many goals and we knew that as a back unit and we’ve worked on that.

"We need to keep pushing ourselves to be more clinical in front of goal, because a Man Utd side with the talent we’ve got, we need to be winning."

After hosting Roma on Thursday, Manchester United will welcome

Liverpool

on Sunday.
