Eric Bailly tests positive for coronavirus while on international duty

The Red Devils defender missed his side's match against Brighton on Sunday.

has confirmed that

Eric Bailly

has tested positive for coronavirus after spending the international break with Ivory Coast. The 26-year-old defender missed his side’s 2-1 win against the

Seagulls

on Sunday as two goals from

Marcus Rashford

and

Mason Greenwood

sealed the victory for the Red Devils. Solskjaer says the Ivorian has not yet returned to England.

“Unfortunately he won't be with us for a little while,”

Solskjaer told the club's

official website

after the game.

“He's been away with Ivory Coast and he tested positive with Covid and he's not back in the country yet.”

Manchester United will play against

Granada

in their Europa League quarter-final clash on Thursday.
