Calvert-Lewin ‘frustrated’ with goal drought but aims for 'more goals'

The Toffees frontman admits that despite having already found his way to the target on 18 different occasions this season, he still feels "frustrated" by his recent goal drought.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin

talked about his struggles with goal scoring in

Everton

’s last four games admitting that he’s already aiming to give an end to his goal drought and

“score more goals”

.

Since the start of the season, the 23-year-old has been able to score 18 goals for the Toffees and as for his international squad, he currently has two goals scored with

England

.

Talking about his goals for the season ahead of their match against

Burnely

, Calvert-Lewin told

talkSPORT

:

“My target is to score more goals!”

“I have my own targets from the start of the season and I got off to a great start.”

“I've been a little bit frustrated recently with perhaps not scoring as much as I would like, but I think the main thing is that I've more often than not still been affecting games and playing big parts in games to get us the three points in pivotal moments.”

“When I'm not scoring, I want to keep affecting games like I have been doing.”

The Englishman’s last goal came on February 10th in their 5-4 FA Cup win against

Tottenham

while his last

Premier League

goal was scored in their clash with

Manchester United

.

Still Calvert-Lewin’s goal drought in Everton’s recent games didn’t prevent the team from winning three of their last four matches and as they hope for a top-four finish, they also wish to see the striker back to his goal scoring habit.
