Mendy has kept clean sheets more than he has conceded goals

The £22million signing managed to keep a clean sheet more than the times he has conceded goals.

Edouard Mendy

has kept clean sheets in over half of his times present on the pitch.

After being disappointed by

Kepa Arrizabalaga

's performance on the pitch,

Chelsea

's previous manager, Frank Lampard, convinced board members to sign the Senegalese.

Mendy's most recent

clean sheet against Everton

turned into his 18th match without a goal conceded, which makes

his clean sheets more than the 17 times he has conceded goals in 31 appearances made for the club

in all competitions.

The £22million signing stands on the top of the League goalkeepers regarding keeping clean sheets.

Mendy is now keeping track to reach Petr Cech's stats in his first season with the blues, who made 28 clean sheets in 48 games and conceded 29 goals.

He also did not let the rivals find the net in the opening six appearances he made for the Blues and had said that he wants to be ready and show this readiness on the pitch.

He had formerly mentioned that

he wants to fight for the No.1 goalkeeper position with Arrizabalaga

when Tuchel had just joined Chelsea and declared that the club needs three strong goalkeepers.

Kepa, Joining the club in 2018 with a £71million transfer fee, failed to meet the expectations when he performed on the pitch.
