Victory over Milan will put Inter in strong position-Moratti

Massimo Moratti believes his former club's victory in today's Derby della Madonnina against the city rival will put them in the driver's seat for the rest of the season.

Antonio Conte's men will face Milan this afternoon at the San Siro Stadium. The winner will reach the top of the Serie A table and takes a decisive step to win the Scudetto.

In an interview with Italian television channel Sky Sport Italia, Former President Massimo Moratti declined to predict the outcome of the derby, stressing that Inter's victory in the match could bring the Nerazzurri one step closer to the Serie A title after a decade.

"

Precisely because I am a fan, it's hard for me to say anything much about the Derby out of superstition,

" Moratti claimed. "

Of course, an Inter victory would make it all downhill for the rest of the season though

."

The 75-year-old ran the club from 1995 to 2016. Five Scudetto and one Champions League were the results of his management, and it is worth mentioning that the last time Inter won the Serie A was under his leadership.
