Aubameyang nets hat-trick as Arsenal defeats Leeds United

Leeds Unitedwith a 4-2 result as they climb to 10th place on the table behind their arch-rival
Tottenham.
The Gunners started the game with dominance and got their opening goal by
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyangin the 13th minute. The striker cut inside the Leeds’ box from the left side and converted a through ball assist from
Granit Xhaka. The Gabonese doubled Arsenal’s lead with a spot-kick 28 minutes later as
Illan Meslier’s tackle on Bukayo Saka was ruled as a penalty.
Hector Bellerinscored the third goal for Mikel Arteta’s team in the 45th minute as
Dani Ceballospassed the ball between Mateusz Klich's legs to find his teammate in a good position for a strike. As the second half started, Arsenal picked up where they had left off in the first half. Aubameyang scored another goal in the 47th minute to complete his hat-trick as Leeds’ defense looked completely shattered under Arsenal’s pressure. Arsenal end their three-match winless run with their victory against Leeds and will now prepare themselves to meet
Benficain the Europa League on Thursday. On the other hand, Leeds slips to 11th place on the table and must continue their Premier League campaign with a match against
Wolveson Friday.
