Bayern Munich match Barcelona’s 2009 record

The Bavarians lifted Club World Cup in Qatar yesterday by beating Tigres 1-0, meaning now they have won all the six titles that were available for them this year.

The Bundesliga, the German Cup, the Champions League, the German Super Cup, the European Super Cup, and now the Club World Cup marks

Bayern Munich

’s remarkable sextuplet completion, an achievement last completed by

Pep Guardiola

‘s

Barcelona

in 2009.

Although the Mexican champions showed an admirable performance against European giants,

Benjamin Pavard

eventually broke the deadlock to hand the Bavarians the trophy.

In 2009, the Blaugrana marked their sextuplet by beating

Estudiantes

2-1 in the Club World Cup’s final, which was held that year in Abu Dhabi.
