Dani Olmo wishes to win the World Cup with Spain
RB Leipzig midfielder Dani Olmo has expressed that his biggest dream as a footballer is to win the World Cup with Spain.
"In my opinion, the biggest title is the World Cup trophy. At a World Cup, the best players in the whole world come together, so that title is the most difficult one to win,"
the Spanish international told Sport Bild and
continued:
"But the feeling when we won against Atlético Madrid in the quarterfinals of the Champions League last summer was once of the best of my career. That game, and to have advanced to the semifinals, was incredible."
Unfortunately for Olmo and his teammates,
RB Leipzigeventually went on to lose 0-3 to
Paris Saint-Germainin the semi-final last season.
But they will be back to the Champions League this month, on 16 February, when they face
Liverpool
in the first leg of their last-16 tie.
"We have a chance and are a good team - that's what we want to show Liverpool and everyone," said Olmo, who also admitted that he would like to play in Spain one day.
