Excited to be back in FA Cup - Wilshere

Wilshere is happy to be in the FA Cup again after 6 years.

Bournemouth midfielder Jack Wilshere is delighted to be back in the FA Cup after a long time and will play in this competition.

The former

Arsenal

midfielder has not played in the FA Cup since 2015 when he won the competition with the Gunners. During Arsenal's 4-0 win over Aston Villa in the 2015 final, Arsene Wenger sent Wilshere to the field as a substitute and at the end of the game, the title was in his hands. He, who has joined Bournemouth on a contract until the end of the season, will now face Crawley and wants to prove himself in his return to competition.

“I love the FA Cup. When I was a younger player that was an opportunity for me to try and work my way into the Premier League team.

“Arsene was always good at that, but now I am at a different stage of my career and I’m looking to try and get minutes to prove my fitness.

“We want to win the game. It’s the FA Cup and against a team from a lower division, which will bring different challenges, so it will be a difficult game and we will have to be ready for the fight from the first minute.”
