Luka Jovic returns to Germany with Zidane’s message

Jovic

is rejoining his former club on a loan deal until the end of the season without a purchase option.

The forward was not included in the

squad ahead of their Supercopa game with

in preparation of the deal.

The transfer will be announced officially on Thursday and Jovic is ready to take the club’s medical test.

Eintracht

are now sitting ninth on the Bundesliga table and are out of German Cup.

Zinedine Zidane

, speaking about his young player, claimed that he did not even know whether the deal was finalized.

“He’s a player who’s still with us,”

he said when last asked about Jovic.

“They haven’t told me anything at the moment. We’ll see what happens.”

Zidane did, however, include an interesting message to Jovic on his path forward.

“He’s not had much luck,”

the French coach said

. “He’s had difficulty adapting, injuries. He has to learn many things, but his quality will always be there.”
