There is no concussion- Solskjaer provides update on Bailly

The Red Devils defender was forced off the pitch after a clash with Watford goalkeeper.

Eric Bailly 

started his team’s Saturday match against 

Watford 

alongside Axel Tuanzebe in 

Manchester United

’s center back. Scott McTominay scored an opener for the Red Devils in the fifth minute but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was forced to make a change before halftime as Bailly was injured after a clash with the Hornets’ goalkeeper.

 rushed out of his goal to clear a cross and managed to punch the ball but in the process, he crashed into Bailly who was floored after the incident. The player appeared to be dazed when he was being walked off the pitch and Solskjaer replaced the Ivorian with Harry Maguire for the remainder of the game. In a post-match interview after his team’s 1-0 victory, Solskjaer has provided an update about the player’s situation.

"It’s his neck I think,

“His head is fine. There is no concussion or anything like that.

“But we have got to do scans.”

Bailly posted on Twitter after the game and confirmed that he has no problems with his head injury.

"I am OK. It was just a knock."
