Marotta suggests a role at Inter to Bellugi

Inter CEO Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta has suggested a role at the club to Inter former defender Mauro Bellugi.

, who won the Scudetto with

Inter

in 1970-71, had been in hospital since November 4 due to Covid-19 complications and other problems and was forced to carry out a double amputation.

Marotta

told the 70-year-old, “

There will always be a place for you in this club, maybe you could deal with relations with clubs

.”

Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Sala, the mayor of the city of Milan, has told Bellugi that the city would not forget him.

During his career, Bellugi played for Bologna, Napoli, and Inter. He also took part in two World Cup with Italy, in 1974 and 1978.

Bellugi has been a pundit on local TV over the past years since his retirement.
