Allan admits joining Everton was an easy decision for him

The Brazilian joined his former manager from Napoli this summer and says he’s satisfied with working with Ancelotti.

Allan

established himself among Serie A’s top midfielders during his time at

Napoli

, and after a messy season, he joined

Ancelotti

in

Everton

for a £21.7m fee. He insists the Toffees ‘great history’ and ‘sporting project’ were the other key elements in his decision.

“First of all, Everton are a big team with a great history,”

he told Liverpool Echo.

“Also, with the sporting project that’s being put together here, with plans for a new stadium, Ancelotti as the coach, it’s a great thing.

“So, when the opportunity came up to come here, I didn’t think twice. I embraced the project.

“To be here playing in this League and wearing Everton’s shirt is a really nice dream come true.”

The former

Napoli

midfielder also expressed his love to work with the

Italian

tactician,

Ancelotti

.

“Carlo is a top guy, someone who manages to keep all members of the squad happy,”

he added.

“He knows how to treat players on a day-to-day basis, which is crucial because he manages to get 100 per cent out of the players.

“It’s great working with him. We’ve had some ups and downs but with Carlo’s calmness and wisdom, I’m convinced moving forward we’ll improve.”
