"Alaba might stay" - Rummenigge

Bayern Munich chairman, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said "maybe David Alaba will stay" but realizes that clubs like Juve want the defender.

Alaba

, who has changed his way of play from left-back to center-back in recent years, has featured in nine seasons with Bayern but his current deal ends in June 2021.

The Austrian has been associated with Juve and can consider other teams from January and the chairman knows why the top clubs in Europe would fancy signing the 28-year-old.

Every team rightly think about reinforcing themselves,

Rummenigge

told.

It’s normal, in this situation, that the top clubs think about Alaba.

“Now, it’s up to him to make a decision and maybe he will change team. Or maybe, he’ll change his mind and stay at Bayern. We’ll see.”

Alaba

, selected as the Austrian Footballer of the Year six times by now, has won two Champions League, nine Bundesliga titles, and six DFB-Pokal with the Bavarians, plus the FIFA Club World Cup in 2014.
