The former Etihad defender believes still has chance at the club

Despite falling down the rankings John Stones has been supported for a return to Manchester City by Lescott.

Joleon Lescott, the ex-England centre-back believes the defender will still have plenty of chances to shine in spite of having many competitors for places at Etihad Stadium.

John Stones

, a 26 years old English professional footballer who is signed by Manchester City plays as a centre-back defender. He has slowly fallen out of favor of his fitness goals, and only appeared in 16 top-flight matches for the Manchester in 2019-20. He has been limited to just three senior appearances for City this season.

Lescott, who also joined City from Everton formerly, was glad to see Stones return back and hopes he can force his way into his regular minutes again. He commented:  “I think when everybody is fit, Pep could potentially have a headache and he’ll have a decision to make. “Hopefully, he can see a partnership forming with Dias and Aymeric Laporte this season, but once again, Stones is a top player and given the opportunities, hopefully, he can perform.”
