. He has been in a relationship with Antonella Roccuzzo, a fellow native of Rosario since 2008. Messi has known Roccuzzo since he was five years old, as she is the cousin of his best friend since childhood, Lucas Scaglia, who is also a football player.

It all began in 1996, when Messi and Lucas Scaglia, the cousin of Antonella and Leo's friend in the Newell's Old Boys youth system, began to spend time together in Rosario.

After keeping their relationship private for a year, Messi first confirmed their romance in an interview in January 2009, before going public a month later during a carnival in Sitges after the Barcelona–Espanyol derby.

Leo was just nine-years-old, but was already in love with the daughter of the Rosario supermarket chain owners.

Those who know him recall that he would write letters as a kid, stating that one day Antonella would be his girlfriend.

It was not until he had turned 21-years-old that the relationship became known.

It was on the program 'Hat Trick Barça', of the Catalan channel 'TV3', in January 2009.

They asked Messi "Do you have a girlfriend?" and Leo Messi replied "Yes, I have a girlfriend. She is in Argentina. The truth is that I am well and I am relaxed." 

From that moment, Antonella Roccuzzo, who always had a close relationship with Leo, was linked to the life of Messi.

Antonella, who studied at the Latin American Education Centre, took a different path to Leo when the Barça star left to go to the Catalan capital.

While Messi started on his road to becoming the greatest player in the world, Antonella was in a relationship with another Rosario neighbor, one that lasted three years.

The death of a friend of Antonella's in a traffic accident led to the renewed meeting of Antonella and Leo.

Messi learned of the tragedy and quickly travelled to Argentina to be at her side. It was then that their relationship progressed, but they chose to keep it private.

Messi returned to Barcelona, while Antonella began to study Odontology at the National University of Rosario, leaving the course after six months and trying her luck in Social Communication, which she studied for a year. 

Antonella's friends say that she revealed her relationship with Messi to them on July 20, 2007.

Despite this, the confirmation that the relationship was established happened before the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

Roccuzzo travelled for the first time to Barcelona and moved in with Leo Messi.

On June 2, 2012, in a celebration after a goal against Ecuador in the Monumental stadium, an open secret was confirmed: Antonella was pregnant with Thiago, the couple's first child, born on November 2, 2012.

Later, in the 2014/15 season, Messi confirmed on social media that Antonella was expecting their second child, Mateo, born on September 11, 2015.

Ramos got married to Rubio in his hometown of Seville, with guests including a handful of current and former teammates including Marcelo, Jordi Alba, and David Beckham.

Pilar Rubio was born on March 17, 1978 in Torrejón de Ardoz, Community of Madrid, Spain.

She comes from the family of Manuel Rubio and Pilar Fernández. As her parents they have always supported their daughter.

There has been a disagreement between the couple over the name of the third child, where Pilar Rubio said in her remarks: “I wanted to name my baby Axel,

For me, he has a nice tone on the ear, but Ramos doesn’t like it and doesn’t feel the same enthusiasm for that name.”

Ramos wanted to choose another name for his third child, who eventually ended up being called Alejandro.

They parted ways after seven years together despite Garcia moving to London with her boyfriend when he was signed by Arsenal in 2003.

Semaan’s former husband, Elie Taktouk is a London-based millionaire businessman and they were together for 13 years. In 2012, Taktouk claimed Fabregas stole his wife at the time they were still happily married and were trying for a third baby.

The business man revealed he only found out about his wife’s affair with the former Arsenal star when he saw pictures of him on holiday in Italy with a ‘mystery lady’ in June 2011, and recognized her as his own wife.

Taktouk, who also originates from the Lebanon told reporters, “I was completely numb and in shock for months. I was in denial but never wanted her back. The minute I saw those pictures I felt disgusted by her behavior and just cut off all emotions.”

Taktouk added, “He is 25 and a fool. She went after him and she would leave him as soon as his money and fame run out. He is no David Beckham.”

At a Court of Appeal hearing in London, Taktouk accused Semaan of cheating, and lying to a judge in their divorce case by claiming the footballer does not fund her lavish lifestyle.

Semaan and Fabregas won the case and were granted £1.4million and the former couple’s Belgravia flat.
