Big Clubs Racing to Sign English Star

Newcastle and Juventus Still Interested, Player's Future to be Decided in Coming Weeks

Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have joined the race to acquire English international player Phillips, who is eager to distance himself from the challenging conditions at his current club, Manchester City. At the same time, Crystal Palace and West Ham are monitoring developments, while Newcastle and Juventus remain interested in him in the long term, according to The Telegraph.

Newcastle is reportedly preparing to withdraw from transfer negotiations with Manchester City due to the tough conditions imposed by the Premier League champions. The Magpies felt that the loan fees requested by City were excessively high, and they were not willing to commit to a deal that included a purchase obligation. Despite the difficulty in reaching an agreement with Juventus, both clubs are still hoping to reach a settlement.

Player Phillips is determined to leave Manchester City after failing to secure a place in Pep Guardiola's starting lineup since joining from Leeds in 2022. He has only participated in 31 matches in all competitions so far, including just 10 matches in international, European, and English league competitions in the current season.

The player's future is expected to be determined in the coming week, and the interested clubs aim to convince Manchester City's management to allow him to leave. Additionally, they seek to persuade the 28-year-old player to join them before the end of this month.
