Grealish hails "brilliant" Guardiola for Manchester City adaptation
After silencing his critics with an outstanding performance against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, Grealish believes he still has to focus on improvement.
After a £100million from Aston Villa,
Jack Grealishfaced a hard time adapting to Guardiola's methods in his debut season after suffering an early injury that halted his adaptation.
A lot of criticism was aimed at the England international for not being influential in
Manchester City's opening to the new season. However, after scoring his Premier League goal against Wolverhampton Wanderers, the England international silenced the critics with his outstanding performance against Borussia Dortmund.
“I just need to keep training to be the best of my ability and then I’ll get chances on the pitch. And then you'll see the best Jack Grealish.
"Pep has been brilliant with me and I probably have to thank him for giving me the opportunity."
said when quizzed about Grealish thanking him: "I said to them many times they are here because I trust them unconditionally, all of them. I know them. I trust them unconditionally and Jack is no exception.
“He scored a goal and it was a good performance. Every time he has the ball it’s one against the full-back all the time. Okay he didn’t score or assist but it’s a question of time. They don’t have to say thank you.”
After the international break, City will be back in Premier League action facing arch-rivals
Manchester United
this Sunday.
