Erik ten Hag's Ajax crowned Eredivise champions

Ajax beat Heerenveen with 5 goals to secure their third Eredivisie title in four seasons under Erik ten Hag.

title after a 5-0 win against SC Heerenveen on Wednesday night. This was Ajax's 36th Eredivisie title. in their history.

Nicolas Tagliafico, Steven Berghuis,, and Sebastian Haller all scored in the first half before Brian Brobbey and Edson Alvarez added two more in the second half.

Ten Hag who will become Manchester United manager from next season now has lifted the Eredivisie trophy third time in four seasons with Ajax. They also won the league in 2019 and 2021.

The 52 year old will take over from Ralf Rangnick at the end of this season on a three-year deal. Ten Hag will be United's fifth permanent manager since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013.

Ajax finished the season with 82 points after 32 games.

PSV

finished in second place with 78 points. Feyenoord and Twente were also finished in third and fourth place. Willem and PEC Zwolle also relegated to the lower League.

Sebastian Haller from Ajax finished the season as Eredivisie's top scorer with 21 goals.

Ajax lost this season's Dutch Cup to PSV Eindhoven.
