Chiesa will sit out for seven months

Juventus’ Federico Chiesa will be sideline for seven months after a knee surgery.

Juventus

and

Italy’s

high-profile winger

Federico Chiesa

will be away from the action for the next seven months, meaning that the season has ended for the player, which can be bad news for Bianconeri and

Max Allegri

, who is already struggling in Serie A with his players’ performance.

But this could mean that the player has a lot of time to rest and get ready for the World Cup and his journey with the Azzurri in the Qatar World Cup.

Chiesa picked this serious injury in his side’s 4-3 victory against

Roma

in their Serie A clash two weeks ago, and the club has confirmed the player’s absence for the next seven months.

The club said in a statement on Sunday:

"This afternoon, Federico Chiesa underwent surgery to reconstruct the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.

"The operation, performed at the Hochrum clinic in Innsbruck by Professor Christian Fink and in the presence of Juventus' Dr Stefanini, proved to be a perfect success. The expected recovery time is approximately seven months."

Italy’s star at Eur0 2020 played 18 games for Juve this season, scoring four goals and providing 18 assists which shows how important he is for Allegri’s side.
