Play-off draw for the 2022 World Cup has taken place

Four teams will fight for two tickets to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The draw for the European play-offs has put Italy and Portugal on the same path, and now FIFA also completed the draw for inter-confederation games, which will take place in Qatar in June 2022.

One team from each of the federations of Asia (AFC), South America (CONMEBOL), the Caribbean, North and Central America (CONCACAF), and Oceania (OFC) will play in the competition, and finally, two of them will join the other 30 teams that are going to take part in the Qatar World Cup.

There will be two key clashes, and in one of them, the Asian side, which will be the winner f the fourth-round play-offs in Asia, is going to face the team from CONMEBOL, which is going to be the fifth team in the South American qualifying games which is currently Peru, although they have five games in hand.

The match will be between the OFC qualifiers’ winner and the fourth team in the CONCACAF qualifying games.
