Rose confirmed: Haaland will be sidelined for a few weeks

The Norwegian star will once again be out of action for a while, which will hit Dortmund's attacking line hard.

Dortmund

manager Marco Rose has confirmed that

Erling Haaland

will be sidelined for several weeks due to injury.

The 21-year-old Norwegian star recently missed three games due to a muscle injury. Now it seems that he has another injury and will not be able to accompany Dortmund for a while.

Asked about his player condition before the game against Arminia Bielefeld, Rose said:

“Thomas Meunier will not be able to play, Nico Schulz has a torn muscle fibre and Erling Haaland will not play and will be absent for a few weeks with a hip flexor injury.”

No date has been announced for his return to the field, but a recovery plan is underway. Haaland, who have scored 13 goals in 10 games this season, claimed in a post on social media that he will return to the field stronger than before. He wrote:

“Time to focus on my recovery, I’ll be back stronger.”

Dortmund are currently second in the table, just one point behind leaders

Bayern Munich

. In the absence of the Netherlands, their task will be more difficult than before and it remains to be seen what they will do in the next game against Arminia Bielefeld.
