September's Premier League manager of the month list revealed
Klopp and Guardiola will compete closely for David Moyes' record
The English Football Association has unveiled five coaches as nominees for September's manager of the month.
After three consecutive defeats in August,
Arteta
won three in a row in September. The Gunners managed to beat Norwich, Burnley and Tottenham and improve their position in the table.
Klopp
extended his team's unbeaten run from the start of the league to the sixth week, and they are the only Premier League team that has not yet tasted defeat. Liverpool beat Leeds and Crystal Palace 3-0 and were held to a draw by Brentford.
Brighton, led by
Graham Potter
, were unbeaten in September, and they continued their fantastic run this season, beating Brentford and Leicester City and drawing with Crystal Palace.
Smith
also performed well with Villa and achieved two important results. They were able to record the first defeat of the season between Everton and Manchester United, with their victory over the latter their first win at Old Trafford in 12 long years
Guardiola
is another candidate with the good results he achieved this month and will compete closely with Klopp for the title of the best coach of the month. Both coaches have won the title nine times, and whichever one wins will match with David Moyes, who has won the title 10 times.
