Ancelotti warns Real Madrid about overconfidence before Sheriff clash

The Los Blancos manager has warned his side before their Champions League clash today.

Real Madrid

are preparing for their second clash in the

Champions League

, having won their opener two weeks ago.

Carlo Ancelotti

’s side beat Inter Milan late, but they may have a more comfortable game against

Sheriff

, who are the lowest seeded team in the Champions League, having won the Moldovan. The La Liga giants are going to feel more confident at home, but the club manager sent a warning for overconfidence, believing his side should be on guard as they are facing the unknown.

He said during his pre-match press conference:

“It’s a Champions League game, you have to prepare well for all the games in the Champions League.

“It gives us a lot of excitement at the Bernabeu because we have good memories.

“Sheriff are doing well, we need to be careful because it’s a team that I don’t know so well, but they are organised, quick. We have to be fully concentrated and we need three points.”

Ancelotti’s careful approach is right, but Los Blancos are confident that they can accomplish a comfortable win and score a few goals at home, which can set them up before their clash against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League.
