Ancelotti: I'm Not happy with Barcelona's situation

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti says seeing Barcelona in such critical condition is not making him happy.

Barcelona and Real Madrid are in two very different phases of their respective seasons. The former is in turmoil, with manager Ronald Koeman and chairman Joan Laporta at conflict, and the team's performance on the field has suffered as a result. The latter are happy, soaring under Carlo Ancelotti and economically stable in the future owing to the CEO Florentino Perez's foresight.

In the

Champions League

last week, Barcelona was thrashed 3-0 by Bayern Munich, then drew with Granada and Cadiz in

La Liga

. They have a must-win match against Levante tomorrow.

Los Blancos won their first European contest of the season 1-0 at San Siro and now lead La Liga by two points over previous season's winners Atletico Madrid. Thanks to their superstar

Karim Benzema

, Madrid is currently on a winning streak.

Carletto, on the other hand, made it evident that he despises Barcelona's low point. For La Liga and Spanish football to be successful, its greatest teams must be capable of competing with Europe's top clubs, looking them in the eyes and standing toe-to-toe. Madrid can do so right now, but Koeman's Barcelona can't.

"I like football, I watch the games and for sure I'm never happy when a team is going through a bad moment," Carletto said in comments carried by

Diario AS

 when quizzed about Barcelona's crisis.

"I'm focused on analysing my team, but I like football and watch the games. For sure I'm not happy when things are turning out badly for a team. It could be Barcelona or any other team."
