"We all want titles" Koeman insists Barca players agree with his plans

The Dutch coach is under fire for his side’s lack of form in their recent performances.

Having seen Lionel Messi leave the club on a free transfer, Ronald Koeman’s side have struggled to find their best form at the beginning of the current season. The Blaugrana are currently seventh in La Liga, collecting nine points from their first five matches of the campaign. Koeman's job is said to be hanging by a thread, with Xavi Hernandez and Roberto Martinez being Barca’s main options for replacing him.

In an interview ahead of his side’s match against Levante on Sunday, Koeman was asked about his recent comments on his side’s lack of quality to win titles.

“Every player and every coach wants to win titles and games,”

Koman said in comments carried by

Marca

.

“There are no differences on this issue because I’ve spoken with them. In general, the players agree. That’s the important thing. In that sense, there are no differences of opinion between us.”

Asked about his future at Camp Nou, the Barcelona coach responded:

“I can’t say much about this issue because I haven’t read the press for a long time,”

he said.

“I know the rumors out there, but all we have to do is win games. There are rumors, names – that’s your job. I’m not going to waste energy on things I can’t control.”

After their match against Levante, the Blaugrana will face Benfica in their next Champions League game on Wednesday.
