, according to

, but a new contract for the Brazilian is yet to be offered.

The 21-year-old joined Los Blancos in 2018 from Flamengo on a deal worth €45 million (£39m/$53m).

He featured in 125 matches for the La Liga giants and met the back of the net five times in seven games.

The talented player is now a key player under the reign of Carlo Ancelotti in the 2021-22 season and he is playing with more consistency.

His salary is €3.2m per season now and with bonuses taken into account, it will be raised to €4m, which puts him next to Dani Ceballos, Jesus Vallejo and Andriy Lunin on the Real wage charts.

The Madrid board believes that he deserves new terms and Ancelotti always believed in the youngster. Los Blancos are now prepared to meet with him and negotiate a new contract that will keep him beyond 2024.
