Raphael Varane admits that Paul Pogba has helped him in his adaptation to life at Manchester United.

Raphael Varane

joined

Manchester United

on a £40 million deal from Real Madrid in August. He has slotted into the hear of the defense alongside Harry Maguire in their last two Premier League games and has been able to impress manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The center-back has admitted that his France teammate

Paul Pogba

has played an important role in his adaptation to life at Old Trafford.

"Yes of course he helps me integrate, in his own way with his good humor, he is always joking. It's cool, it's going well,”

he told Telefoot.

He was announced as a Manchester United player in front of the club's fans before their opening Premier League game of the season and is happy with the welcome he has received from fans and teammates.

He added:

"It was emotional because it was a magnificent welcome and it will remain engraved in my memory. We have a good group. It's young, it's dynamic. There's really a spirit of camaraderie. I'm very happy to be part of this team."

When he was in Real Madrid, he used to play with

Cristiano Ronaldo

and is now delighted that he gets to play alongside him again at Manchester United.

"He's a huge professional. He has scored goals all his career,"

Varane said.

"He will continue as long as he does not stop football. So, it's better to have him with than against you."
