Ceferin wouldn’t mind seeing Super League rebels leave UEFA

UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin has said he would not mind seeing the departure of European Super League rebels Juventus, Barcelona, and Real Madrid from UEFA.

and said he cannot understand why they are still in UEFA Champions League.

“I wouldn’t mind seeing them leave UEFA,” Ceferin said.

“It’s funny to see that they want to create a new competition and, at the same time, play in the Champions League,”

Ceferin told Der Spiegel

“These people tried to kill football with their incompetent directors,”

he continued

.

“Florentino Perez complains, saying his club can only survive with the Super League and then offers €180m to sign Kylian Mbappé.”

According to reports in Germany, Juventus, Barcelona and Real Madrid have not given up hope on their Super League project and are preparing a new format that includes two divisions: Super League 1 and Super League 2 with a system of promotion and relegations.
