Federico Chiesa misses game against Napoli due to injury
Juventus have confirmed Federico Chiesa is a major doubt for their crucial game against Napoli at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
The
Juventusstriker picked up a thigh injury during a training session ahead of Italy's World Cup qualifier against
Lithuania
and was quickly sent back to his club to undergo tests.
The striker’s injury is not serious but the medical staff decided not to take any risks.
“Federico Chiesa underwent a negative scan at the J|Medical this morning,”
the club wrote in a statement.
“However, as a precaution and in agreement with the technical staff, he will not be available for the trip to Naples.”
With Chiesa sidelined, Juventus manager
Max Allegri
could turn to either
Alvaro Morata
or the returning
Moise Kean
to start alongside
Paulo Dybala
in the attack.
Dejan Kulusevski
could also feature at right, in the absence of the former Fiorentina man.
